Although the Colonial Club Orchestra is usually associated with Bob Haring, this recording of Are You Lonesome To-nite? was made under the leadership of Louis Katzman in New York on 1 October, 1927 (see Brunswick Records: New York Sessions, 1927–1931). Vaughn De Leath provides the vocals. It was her second recording of Are You Lonesome Tonight? in just a few months, for she had already recorded the number on 13 June for Edison Records.
