A truly magnificent collection of photos of Elvis throughout his life, excellently produced with sensible accompanying text. Over 600 pages to thoroughly enjoy!

The language is fairly irrelevant here, as the only text announces the publisher. The rest of the publication consists of 56 black-and-white photos of early concert appearances, printed on 32 pages.

An aspect of Elvis generally ignored, that of Fashion Guru, presented in a collection of largely full-colour photographs, accompanied by limited text, providing background to the clothes and designers. Film outfits, personal items, stage clothes, accessories -- they're all there, and some surprising items are included, too, such as a glorious kaftan, riding britches and an American football shirt. Elvis was not a follower of fashion -- he was definitely a dedicated creator of fashion!

Perhaps lacking the intimacy of Wertheimer's collection, but an excellent collection of previously unpublished early Elvis, including some great atmospheric performance pics.

Superb collection of photographs from 3 Las Vegas performances in September 1973. Elvis having fun on stage and also in full voice. Introductory text is also very good and explains well Elvis's dilemma at this stage in his career (hence the title).

Basically a collection of pretty commonplace photos with only the most cursory text, and that is not always accurate.

Photos of Elvis in concert in various locations in Texas (mostly) between 1970 and 1975. Introduction and occasional remarks by Kathy Westmoreland. Concert lovers should love the photos, which are in both black and white and colour. Plenty from the Houston astrodome, but other locations also well represented.

1977 edition of original 1975 book, apparently hastily updated shortly after Elvis's death (Elvis and Gladys still buried in Forest Hills). Loads of b/w pics, mostly common, but with one or two exceptions (eg Elvis being presented Indian head-dress in 1961). Accompanying bio is short and par for the course at the time.
