For many years, starting in the 1980s, I bought just about any book about Elvis that I could find. As a result, I had a collection of some 500 titles at one time and shared information about the books in my Elvis In Print site. Publishers and writers started sending me their Elvis books to review and my reviews appeared in fan club publications around the world, as well as on the Web. My complaints about repetition, obvious errors, and poor proofing led publishers and writers to gradually ignore me, and that was fine by me, as I had already had my fill of their books, other than the occasional breath of fresh air. Sadly these breaths tended to be ignored by fans, who seemed to prefer the repetitious, erroneous drivel. There's just no accounting for taste.
I have already sold many of my books, but here I offer some titles that I held back because of the quality of the books, or because of their unusual nature.
