A young singer from Delft, in the Netherlands, Bert Nühn surprised the audience with his performance. Well-known Dutch pop journalist, Jip Golsteijn, described in the newspaper De Telegraaf, how Nühn and his recently formed band stole the show and earned the most applause of the evening.
Bert is still active and regularly posts his unplugged versions of Elvis numbers to his YouTube channel. (Don't worry, Bert makes no attempt to impersonate Elvis.)
